Od 16.12.1944 brzkych rannich hodin probiha nemecka ofenziva "Wach am Rhin" (Rynska hlidka)(Battle of the Bulk u spojencu). Dosavadni pocasi nepralo letectvu. Az rano 23.12.1944 se pocasi umoudrilo. Byla zahajena aktivni letecka cinnost. Na spojeneckych zakladnach panuje od rana rusny provoz. 8. letecka armada USAF odstartovala za doprovodu Mustangu do hloubky Nemecka (asi Berlin). Cilem lehkych a strednich bombarderu 9. letecke armady USAF je mesto Eifel a uzemi fronty. Dopravni letky C 47 Skytrain se chystaji zasobovat 101. vvd obklicenou v Bastogne. Luftwaffe odrazi napor tezkych bombarderu a tvrde bojuje s doprovodnymi mustangy (mimo mapu).
V prostoru mapy probihaji letecke utoky proti pozemnim cilum a prilezitostne letecke souboje. Wehrmacht se snazi za podpory Luftwaffe zlikvidovat obklicene jednotky 101. vysadkove divize (USA) v kotli Bastogne. Spojenci letecky podporuji obranu a snahy o vyprosteni 101. vvd z obkliceni. Utoci na prisun zasob Wehrmachtu, zejmena benzinu pro tankove kliny.

Ardennes, saturday, 23. december 1944
German offensive "Wach ma Rhin", widely known as The Battle of the Bulk, was launched 16.12.1944 early in the morning. Until today there were bad weather conditions. Now that it's getting better, active airborne operations have been launched and there is much business on all allied airbases thenceforth. 8th USAF accompanied by Mustangs has gone for another long trip in Germany, most likely Berlin. 9th USAF light and medium bombers' targets is a town called Eifel as well as front area. C-47 Skytrains are preparing to resupply the 101st Paratroop Division who have been cornered at Bastogne.) Luftwaffe is busy taking care for USAF heavy bombers and their Mustang escort.(Somewhere beyond this map's borders.)
Ground target attacks and dogfights are in progress in the map area. Supported by Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht is attempting to eradicate the 101st PD units at Bastogne. Allies on the other hand are supporting these units and seek to get them out of there. They are doing so by attacking supply columns, especially those meant for tank squad refueling.

- Likvidace prisunu zasob pro vojska obklicujici 101 vvd US v Bastogne
- Zabranovat leteckym utokum na vojska v obkliceni
- Umoznovat shoz zasob z letounu C 47 Skytrain do Bastogne.
- Podporovat pokus o prulom obkliceni 3. armady gen. Pattona z prostoru osady Margerotte smer Bastogne.
- Fotopruzkum zjistil v sektorech - C2/D2 prisun zasob - jak po silnicich tak po zeleznici.
- Pruzkumnici 101. vvd US hlasi soustredeni tanku v prapornich proudech severozapadne osady Longvilly.
Toto jsou hlavni ukoly pro P-47 Thunderbold, Spitfire chranit bitevniky.

- destroy supply convoys heading in to resupply the 101st PD cornering tanks.
- prevent the 101st PD from being attacked from above and enable Skytrain supply drops.
- support gen.Patton's 3rd Army breakthrough attempt.
- Transport columns have been reported in sectors C2 and D2, both road and railway.
- 101st PD spotters have reported tank battalions streaming from SW of Longvilly.
These are tasks for P-47, Spitfires provide cover to Thunderbolts.
Please stick to proper markings, RAF or US.

Kamaradi, konecne nastalo letove pocasi a i my mame moznost prispet k uspechu wehrmachtu v nasi ofenzive. Musime znicit obklicene americany ve meste Bastogne
- sektor - C1, znicit obklicenou 101. vvd. Kamaradi od
- fotopruzkumnych Me 262 zjistili prisun posil po zeleznici v sektoru D4 - vypada to na tankovy pluk a palivo.
- Nesmime dovolit posilneni americkych pozemnich jednotek.
- V prostoru osady Margerotte se soustredi americka vojska asi v sile armady k provedeni prulomu obkliceni (sektor A1-B1).
- Ukol pro jednotky Jabo jsou pozemni cile v Bastogne, prisun posil a niceni jednotek usilujici o prorazeni kotle z venci.

Fellow pilots, at last the weather has made it possible for us to contribute to Wehrmacht's success in our offensive.
- We have to eradicate Americans that have been enveloped in Bastogne - sector C1 - the 101st Paratroop Division.
- Me 262 reconnaissance pilots have reported traffic at D4 sector railway - looks like tank battalion and fuel.
- Make sure American ground units are neither resupplied nor reinforced.
- Army-sized American forces have grouped in the vicinity of Margerotte village and are preparing for envelopment breakthrough - sectors A1 and B1.
- Jabo squadrons shall attack ground targets at Bastogne, reinforcements transport and destroy units aspiring to breakthrough from outside.
- Fighters shall provide cover to bombers as well as to tank units and their resupplies.
!!!Don't let allies advance to them!!!
Please stick to your side acft markings and be proud to bear the German crosses on your wings!
